What brand of extensions does Mode use?
We use SoCAP pre-bonded finest (remy) European 100% human
hair for this service. The remy, or cutically aligned, hair prevents tangles and comes in over 80 colors and several textures.
It is colored with ammonia-free hair color.
How is the hair attached?
Using a protein/keratin bond, the hair is attached to your own hair
about half an inch from the scalp with the ultrasonic sound wave device. No heat, glue, wax or braid is involved. It is the
healthiest way for your hair of bonding extensions at this time. The locks of hair lay flat to your head and are very comfortable.
What does it cost?
Our stylists will provide a custom quote during your complimentary consultation.
The quote is determined by the length and thickness of your hair, color, texture, time and desired look.
A
50% deposit is due at time the service is scheduled and the remaining 50% is due at the time of the service appointment. The
initial deposit is non-refundable as the hair is custom ordered for your desired look. There is a $100 cancellation or rescheduling
fee if the appointment is altered less than 48 hours in advance of the service day.
For full and half head extension,
Mode provides lunch and an opportunity to enjoy a movie. Mode will also send you home with a complimentary care package
that includes a shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioner, brush, and maintenance instructions.
Will I receive a haircut?
We only cut your hair
to blend your hair with the extensions if absolutely necessary. We understand that a lot of people seek extensions to grow
their hair out. Initial cutting and styling of the extensions is included in the price.
How would you match my color? Can I have different colors?
SoCAP hair comes in over 80 colors
and several textures to match your hair. We can add highlights, lowlights and fashion colors using extensions. Additional
charges may apply for color or texture if we cannot match the color exactly.
How long does my hair need to need to be?
Your hair needs to be at least 3 inches long and strong
enough to support the bonds. Chemically treated or colored hair is ok as long as it’s strong enough to support the bonds.
This will be determined at your preliminary consultation.
What if I have other extensions that need to be removed?
We are unable to remove extensions from
other salons at this time.
Is a consultation necessary?
Yes, it’s essential to determine the overall goal for your
hair. It is also important to determine what color is needed, the pricing, time and when to schedule the full appointment.
How long does it take to have extensions put in and how long will they last?
This is determined
at your consultation. On average, it can take anywhere from 1-8 hours to place the extensions. You can wear SoCAP extensions
for 3-6 months if cared for properly.
What is the maintenance like?
There is a complimentary 2 week follow-up visit after your extension
service to make sure all is well. There is also complimentary removal of the extensions if done within 4 months of the original
service. If you wish to maintain the look, you can expect a visit to the salon every 3-4 months for partial removal and replacement
of hair. Charges will apply (for the cost of new hair or new bonds).
