YouAreBeautiful: A Guerilla Fashion Event
On Tuesday September 18, 2007 during the 5pm rush hour we put 30 models
& dancers on the streets of downtown Seattle to spread the message, "You Are Beautiful". This event
was not announced to the general public.
The concept for this event came out of a desire to do something fun &
unique, that would utilize the skills and creativity of those involved while expressing a positive message
into our community... AND to raise awareness for organic beauty.
All of the hair, makeup & wardrobe were created by the talented staff
of Mode Organic Salon.

Filming of You Are Beautiful was provided by Akina Entertainment, an incredible independent film company who’s most recent production was a music video of Hi Tack’s Remix of David Bowie’s Let’s Dance. Mode Organic Salon had the privilege of providing
hair and makeup for this video that will air on MTV Europe. In addition, many of the same models &
dancers that you saw today in You Are Beautiful also appeared in this video!
